About Natura Algerica Journal

Natura Algerica is an open-access scientific journal published by the environmental NGO Écocirta, which has been working since 2017 to encourage the publication of naturalist observations. Launched to address the need to document and share Algeria's rich natural heritage, the journal is dedicated to both amateurs and professionals. Natura Algerica aims to fill the gap for a local publication, allowing for a faster publishing pace and greater flexibility in themes, thus addressing the specificities of Algerian biodiversity.

A biannual journal, it publishes articles continuously on its website, which are then compiled into two issues per year. Contributions are open to everyone, and publications in both French and English are accepted, allowing it to reach a local and international audience.

Through this journal, Écocirta aims to raise awareness and highlight local knowledge, offering everyone the opportunity to contribute to the documentation of Algerian biodiversity.
